The Department of Surgery of the Kliniken Essen-Mitte is one of the worldwide leading institutions of adrenal surgery. We perform plenty of operations per year mainly in laparoscopic posterior technique. Partial adrenalectomies are part of our repertoire, especially in pheochromocytomas and Conn-adenomas.

In 2009 we published the new method of endoscopic adrenalectomy using only a single 2cm  incision („single access surgery“). This method offers a pain free rapid recovery. Meanwhile, more than 150 patients have been treated with this fantastic method.
